Scouter,

We're off and racing into Lap 2 of the Race to 1,000! Building on our strong start, this week's updates, resources, and opportunities will help us keep the momentum going and bring more families into Scouting.

Membership Moment - Share Your Scouting Story

Membership growth starts with sharing what makes Scouting special. Maybe it's a first camping trip, laughter around a campfire, or watching a Scout achieve something they never thought possible.

This week's challenge: Share your favorite Scouting memory with someone outside of Scouting. You have 60 seconds. Make it personal, make it genuine, and let your enthusiasm tell the story.

People connect with stories, not statistics. Your memory could inspire someone else's first Scouting adventure.

Current Metrics & Objectives

The Race to 1,000 is picking up speed! Thanks to your efforts, we've already reached 176 Scouts toward our goal of 1,000. Let's keep the momentum going as we race toward the finish line!

Our regular membership objectives and updates remain available below.

Welcome Our New Racers!

Two new Venturing crews have joined the Race to 1,000! Please join us in welcoming Crew 444 in Diablo Sunrise District, chartered by St. Bonaventure’s Catholic Community in Concord, and Crew 48 in Golden Gate District, chartered by St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in San Francisco.

Congratulations to the volunteers and chartered organizations helping bring new Scouting opportunities to our communities!

Don't Leave Your Leads in the Rearview Mirror!

149 Leads to Follow Up

164 Youth Applications Initiated

5 Youth Applications in Progress

Every lead brings us closer to the checkered flag!  Follow up with families, keep applications moving, and help more Scouts join the race.

Final Lap for November Renewals!

On Sunday, November 1, 420 Scouts are at risk of dropping from our membership. Help keep them in the race by reviewing your unit roster in my.Scouting and downloading the Members Due to Renew report.

Please follow up with families who have not renewed and confirm that only Scouts who are not continuing in Scouting remain on the list.

Let Us Be Your Pit Crew!

The membership team is ready to help you finish the race strong! Do you have upcoming joining opportunities, renewal challenges, flyers to promote, leads needing follow-up, or objections to overcome? Let us know how we can help!

Our approach is simple: Help your units grow, and we'll grow together.

Share your needs and opportunities by replying to this email or clicking below.

🏁 Pack Fall Round-Up Progress

The race for Pinewood Derby cars is heating up! 40 packs are within striking distance of qualifying, 10 packs are on track if they complete their renewals, and 23 packs are already in victory lane, with membership growth exceeding their potential year-end drops!

As we head into the final laps, watch the Nov–Dec Possible Drops column. Following up with these families now could make the difference between crossing the finish line and falling short.

Help Spread the Race to 1,000!

Help build momentum by sharing your recruitment successes, upcoming joining opportunities, and Scouting adventures on social media.
