Scouter,

Welcome to Q4! As we begin the final stretch of 2026, here are this week’s resources, updates, and tools to help you continue growing Scouting across the GGAC. Questions? Contact membership@goldengatescouting.org.

Current Metrics & Objectives

Thank you for an incredible finish to September! GGAC enters Q4 with strong momentum, including year-over-year growth in both pack and troop retention.

Now, let’s build on that progress and finish 2026 strong. Every new Scout, every renewal, and every new unit matters.

🏁 Pack Fall Round-Up Progress

Forty-three packs are just one milestone away from earning Pinewood Derby car kits for every Scout in the pack. This week’s worksheet also includes a new Nov–Dec Possible Drops field, showing Scouts who have not yet renewed and could drop before year-end.

Check your pack’s progress and start reaching out to those families now.

Questions? Contact your District Executive or email membership@goldengatescouting.org.

📍Keep Your BeAScout Pin Up to Date

Great progress! 148 of 435 units still need to update their BeAScout pin with the new fields introduced this summer. A complete, accurate pin helps families find the right unit by displaying meeting schedules, fees, and other important information.

Starting soon, some unit leaders may receive a text, email, or phone call from Jess, Scouting America's AI membership assistant, to help update these fields automatically.

Scouting Is Better With Friends

Encourage Scouts to invite a friend to a meeting or activity. When that friend joins, the recruiting Scout can receive a free recruiter strip patch by completing the form on the flyer and bringing it to a local Scout Shop.

Share the flyer with your pack or troop and help Scouts turn friendship into adventure. Offer valid through December 31, 2026.

Arrow of Light to Scout Transition Resources

Missed the recent Arrow of Light to Scout Transition webinar? The presentation and recording are now available, with practical strategies and tools to help packs and troops guide Arrow of Light Scouts through crossover and into their first year in a Scouts BSA troop.

Cub Scout Monthly Momentum Rallies

Help new Cub Scout families feel welcomed, connected, and excited about Scouting. These 30-minute virtual sessions offer practical ideas and fresh approaches that pack leaders can put to work right away.
