Scouter,

Thank you for your commitment to growing Scouting in the Golden Gate Area Council. Membership Monday brings you the latest updates, resources, and tools to support membership growth and retention. Questions, ideas, or feedback? Contact membership@goldengatescouting.org.

Current Metrics & Objectives

Q3 is underway, and fall recruitment is just around the corner. Now is the time to work with your Key 3 to finalize plans, schedule recruitment events, and prepare your units to welcome new families. The Membership Committee is here to support your efforts at membership@goldengatescouting.org.

Every Lead Is an Opportunity

There are currently 251 leads, 20 youth applications in progress, and 163 initiated applications waiting in the system. These families have already raised their hands and are looking for a connection to Scouting.

Take a few minutes to review your leads and Application Manager in my.Scouting to help welcome them into the program.

Enhanced BeAScout Experience Launches August 3

An updated BeAScout experience launches on August 3, giving families more information before they contact a unit.

Unit leaders should review and update their BeAScout pins now in Organization Manager, including the new fields for:

• Fundraising Helps Cover Costs
• Trial Visit Encouraged
• Unit Fee
• Meeting Schedule: Meeting Frequency, Meeting Day, Start Time, End Time

Changes made now will appear when the new experience launches on August 3. An accurate, up-to-date BeAScout pin is one of your unit's most important recruiting tools heading into the fall.
